Mammatus Thunderhead Sunset
These eerie mammatus clouds and the thunderhead in the distance were magnificently illuminated by the sunset in a Kansas wheat field near my hometown of Hutch.
Unfortunately, the mammatus clouds went on to rattle loads of hail onto my parents' house's skylights (they were scared they would break!) and did damage to surrounding wheat fields. Fortunately it seems the damage was not too great.
